Job Description

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s outgoing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and approvals
Ensure proper accounting entries in the ERP/accounting system
Manage vendor payments including bank transfers and reconciliations
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
Maintain records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documents
Assist in month-end closing activities related to payables
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory regulations
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for payment-related queries
Support finance team with ad-hoc reporting and tasks as required

Qualifications and Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar role
Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and coordination skills
