Job Description – Assistant Manager – Accounts & Finance

Location: Mammiyoor, Guruvayoor

Reports To: MD, CEO, Virtual CFO

Team: One Senior Executive and One Executive – Accounts

Job Objective:

To manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of a diverse group of companies across construction, hospitality, and bar management sectors. The role involves ensuring robust budget and cash flow management, vendor coordination, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting. The candidate will serve as the finance point of contact on the ground and will report to the Virtual CFO for review and strategic interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budget & Cash Flow Management

- Monitor adherence to approved budgets across group entities - Manage daily and weekly cash flows; flag deviations from budget - Prepare weekly cash flow reports and discuss exceptions with the Virtual CFO - Maintain a rolling forecast to ensure liquidity planning

2. Vendor Management

- Oversee vendor onboarding, payment cycles, and reconciliation - Ensure timely release of payments in line with credit terms - Coordinate with project/operations teams for vendor-related escalations - Ensure TDS/GST compliance for all vendor payments

3. Team Supervision

- Guide and supervise the Senior Executive and Executive – Accounts - Allocate responsibilities and ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing - Review reconciliations (bank, vendor, inter-company)4. MIS & Reporting

- Ensure timely preparation of weekly finance reports (format to be finalized) - Share weekly updates every Friday or Saturday to the Virtual CFO - Highlight exceptions, overdue payments, and budget deviations - Support in preparation of monthly management reports and analysis

5. Compliance & Controls

- Ensure GST, TDS, and statutory dues are filed and paid timely - Support audit processes with required data and clarifications - Maintain adequate documentation and records for all transactions

Key Skills & Requirements:

- B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter or equivalent qualification - 4–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in multi-entity operations - Strong understanding of construction and hospitality accounting practices - Proficiency in Tally/ other ERP platforms and Excel - Strong communication and people management skills - Ability to work independently with remote supervision

Work Schedule & Reporting:

- Weekly reporting every Friday or Saturday to the Virtual CFO - Immediate escalation/reporting for all non-budgeted cash flows - Coordination with the operations team and external vendors on a daily basis

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
