Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

  • Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Maintain and improve internal financial controls.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital management.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate financial policies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Develop and oversee annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance and analyze variances.
  • Recommend cost-saving strategies and financial improvements.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and corporate tax filings.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage audits and ensure compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team.
  • Coordinate with other departments for financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Assist in financial strategy development to support business growth.

Work Activities

  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships
  • Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA/CMA qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum

    3-5 years

    of experience in finance and accounting roles (depending on qualifications)
  • Strong knowledge of

    financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance

    .
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong writing, phone and presentation skills.
  • Language Preference – English, Bengali, Hindi
