Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with strong knowledge in taxation and financial report preparation. The role involves managing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, statutory requirements, and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliation. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. Taxation : Prepare and file statutory tax returns such as GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and Income Tax. Ensure timely compliance with all tax deadlines and regulations. Assist in tax planning, assessments, and responding to tax-related queries or notices. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and incorporate them into financial processes. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports. Generate MIS reports, budget reports, and variance analysis for management review. Prepare audit schedules and assist external auditors during financial audits. Reconciliation & Analysis Conduct bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations. Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues. Support management in financial forecasting and budgeting. Compliance & Documentation Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, agreements, and other statutory records. Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines, accounting policies, and internal controls. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (B.Com / M.Com preferred). Proven experience as an Accountant, Accounts Executive, or similar role. Strong knowledge of taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and financial reporting. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP. Good understanding of accounting standards and statutory compliance. Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
