Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Accounting Operations
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (invoices, payments, expenses, etc.)
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in journal entries
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow and report variances
  • Assist with petty cash management and reconciliations
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist in the preparation of profit & loss statements and balance sheets
  • Support internal audits and external financial audits
  • Compliance & Taxation
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial documentation for audits
  • Inventory & Asset Management
  • Support inventory accounting and valuation
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and handle depreciation accounting
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyze budget variances and provide reports to management
  • Software & System Use
  • Use accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
  • Maintain digital and physical records per company policy
  • Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with internal departments for data and documentation
  • Support senior accountants and finance managers with data analysis and reports
  • Support year-end closing and external audits
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company data
