Accountant Head

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Head of Accounts to lead our accounting operations. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills, who can ensure accurate financial reporting, legal compliance, and efficient financial management across the organization.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, with proven expertise in handling end-to-end finance operations and leading a small to mid-sized accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Accounting

• Supervise and control the entire finance and accounts function including AR/AP, payroll, bank reconciliation, and general ledger.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports through ERP.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support cost efficiency.
• Ensure timely closing of accounts and accuracy of financial reporting.

2. Statutory Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, PF/ESI, and other applicable laws.
• Handle statutory, tax, and internal audits by coordinating with auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure regulatory filings are done within deadlines.

3. Cash Flow & Fund Management

• Monitor daily cash flow, working capital, and ensure optimum fund utilization.
• Manage credit control and collections from customers.
• Liaise with banks/financial institutions for loans, OD facilities, and other financial arrangements.

4. Cost Control & Business Support

• Develop strategies for cost reduction and profit improvement.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial irregularities.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies for new projects/branches/expansion.

5. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts & Finance team.
• Allocate responsibilities, review team performance, and build a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Service, and Operations teams to align financial planning with business needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance (preferred, but not mandatory)
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in core accounting and finance operations
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP, or QuickBooks
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
• Excellent MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Good leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
