Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our cement manufacturing/logistics unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and statutory compliance specific to the cement industry. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and helps in decision-making by analyzing key operational costs and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Maintain day-to-day accounting records in Tally or ERP.
  • Record all journal entries, purchases, sales, payments, and receipts.
  • Cost Accounting
  • Track and analyze production costs (raw materials, fuel, labor, etc.).
  • Monitor cost per ton of cement and assist in cost control initiatives.
  • Perform variance analysis between standard cost and actual production cost.
  • Inventory & Raw Material Accounting
  • Maintain accurate stock records of raw materials (like clinker, gypsum, fly ash), consumables, and finished goods.
  • Conduct monthly physical stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Vendor & Purchase Ledger Management
  • Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Coordinate with the purchase department for GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes) and PO matching.
  • Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure timely filing of GST returns-1 , GST returns-3B, TDS, and other statutory filings.
  • Prepare data for audits (internal/statutory) and coordinate with auditors.
  • MIS Reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements, profitability reports, and cost center analysis.
  • Support management with budgeting and forecasting data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / ICWA Inter or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing accounting (cement or similar industry preferred).
  • Proficient in Tally ERP 9, or other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of costing principles and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements in India.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and reporting tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in cement/logistics/mining or heavy industry sectors.
  • Good coordination skills with operations and logistics teams.
  • Willingness to work in a plant/onsite environment if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
