Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily accounting operations of the real estate company. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, managing property-related financial transactions, and supporting management with financial analysis and insights. The position requires in-depth knowledge of real estate accounting, property development cycles, and project-based financial management. Key Responsibilities:Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage accounting for property sales, leasing, commissions, and project cost allocations. Monitor and record revenue recognition for real estate projects in accordance with accounting standards. Reconcile property and project accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and aligned with company policies. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Support project feasibility studies and financial analysis for property development and investment projects. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external consultants to ensure compliance with local regulations. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 years in real estate or property development. Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, revenue recognition, and cost control for projects. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar real estate management systems). Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and leadership skills. Key Competencies:Understanding of real estate operations, including sales, leasing, and project development. Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data. Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
