Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join our Chartered Accountancy firm. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, auditing assistance, taxation compliance, and financial reporting for clients across multiple industries. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliances, and good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate books of accounts (Journal, Ledger, Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet) for client entities. Prepare, verify, and reconcile financial statements and records. Handle GST compliance: preparation and filing of GSTR returns, reconciliation, and records management. Assist in TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance (including filings and reporting). Support in statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits under the supervision of CAs. Prepare bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor management reports. Ensure timely closing of accounts and generation of MIS reports as required by clients/management. Liaise with clients for collection of data, clarification of accounting issues, and resolution of queries. Maintain documentation for compliance and audit purposes. Support the CA/manager in advisory assignments, financial analysis, and other related tasks. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com/M.Com). Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting/ERP software. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax provisions. 1–3 years of prior experience in a similar role (preferably in a CA firm). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Semi-qualified CA, CMA, or pursuing professional certification will be an advantage. Familiarity with corporate compliances, ROC filings, and payroll management.
