Job Summary:

The Account Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audits, and leading the accounts team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and petty cash management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare MIS reports, and ensure optimum fund management.
  • Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax and all other statutory compliances.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during internal and statutory audits.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Oversee payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
  • Handle finalization of accounts and liaison with banks, CA, and consultants.
  • Support management with financial planning, budgeting, and cost control strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the accounts team for smooth operations and team development.
  • Proficiency in preparing MIS reports for financial analysis and decision-making.

  • Conduct financial ratio analysis to assess profitability, liquidity, solvency, and overall financial performance, providing insights to support management in strategic decision-making.

Key Skills Required

  • In-depth knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting standards and taxation rules (GST, TDS, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Commerce (B. Com / M. Com) MBA-Finance.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
  • Experience in team handling is a must.
  • Proven experience in handling accounts for a turnover of 50 Crore or above.
