Account Executive (Accounting)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Executive to manage and oversee daily accounting operations for our company. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial statements and reports, and supporting financial planning and audits. The Accounting Executive will play a pivotal role in sustaining the financial health and transparency of the organization. Key Responsibilities • Maintain and update day-to-day accounting records — including journals, ledgers, and subsidiary accounts. • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable: processing vendor invoices, vendor payments, customer invoices, receipts, and ensure timely collections/payments. • Reconcile bank statements, general ledger entries, and inter-company or vendor/customer account balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies. • Prepare periodic financial statements and reports: balance sheet, profit & loss (income) statements, cash-flow statements, management information system (MIS) reports. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting — support preparation of budgets, cost analysis, comparison of actual vs budgeted financial performance, help in financial planning. • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements (taxation, GST, TDS, other regulatory filings) and maintain records for audits. • Support periodic and year-end closing processes: accruals, prepayments, fixed-asset register maintenance, depreciation calculations (if applicable). • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with internal/external audits by providing required documentation. • Coordinate with other departments (HR, procurement, operations) for payroll, vendor/vendor advances, reimbursements, travel/expense claims as applicable. • Provide periodic financial analysis — review cost/expense trends, suggest improvements, assist management in financial decision-making and cost control. .
