ABAP Developer

The opportunity
The selected candidate will:
- Leads the Development & Engineering team in area of specialism and develops the team to ensure it has the right capability
- Work very closely with Product Owners, Software Developers, Designers and Domain Experts, in an Agile working model.
- Assume additional technical, organizational or coordination tasks or roles, as required
- Strategically leverages networks to drive innovation, best practice and a continuous improvement culture
- Collaborate intensively with colleagues inside and outside the team and collaborate professionally with Business Owners.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for designing, developing, implementing and testing complete end-to-end business processes with a strong focus on quality
- Guide team development efforts towards successful product delivery.
- Collaborate with designers and domain experts. Work in a diverse team applying Scrum and agile development
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team. Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications built on SAP technologies.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
- Work effectively in a fast paced and changing business environment. Flexibility and adaptability are must haves to be successful in this role.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Highly advanced knowledge of designing, developing, and debugging solutions.
- Awareness of SAP platforms SAP AI Core, SAP Data Intelligence, Embedded Analytics in S/4HANA or SAP Analytics Cloud
- Strong programming background and excellent technical skills in design, coding, testing, and delivery of secure, scalable, reliable, robust, and performant applications.
- Expertise in SAP RAP (SAP RESTful ABAP Application Programming) models, enabling efficient development of modern applications in the SAP ecosystem.
- Knowledge in the following areas is beneficial: BTP, CPI, Cloud Foundry, SAP Gateway.
- Knowledge of automation test frameworks like OPA5/QUnits is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
- B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA with an aggregate score of 70% or above from IIT/NIT/any tier 1 Institute preferred
- 6 to 9 years’ of experience in software development primarily in SAP technologies.
- Strong development skills in following areas: ABAP, OO ABAP, AMDP, BOPF, Analytical Queries and SQL Script, ABAP CDS Views, troubleshooting ABAP code, Clean-core, SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Knowledge in these areas: SAPUI5 and FIORI APPS extension/configurations, SAP BAS tool to develop Fiori applications, JavaScript/ jQuery to write functions, good knowledge on MVC framework.
- Strong focus on Database and experienced in writing scalable SQL
- Experience in OData / Rest protocols
- Should have experience in Developing ABAP OData / HANA OData Services.
- Experience in Azure DevOps process and release activities for On-prem/Cloud applications
- Techno functional knowledge in any of the areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales processes.
- Good knowledge S/4HANA Cloud and specifically with respect to developing extensions in SAP BTP-ABAP Environment as well as S/4HANA Cloud extensibility options.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong analytical capabilities and logical skills, Solution designing experience is a must.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Good understanding of agile methodology and scrum processes.
- programming skills, with expertise in languages like Python with a good knowledge of ML, Data and API libraries.
