Workday HCM Associate Manager


Key Responsibilities


Workday HCM Management

  • Oversee daily operations, configurations, and maintenance of the Workday HCM system.
  • Manage configuration updates, testing, and deployment of new functionalities and releases.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with global security and privacy standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison between HR, IT, and business stakeholders for system enhancements, issue resolution, and process improvements.


Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a small team of Workday analysts or specialists, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Prioritize and allocate workloads efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of system changes and support requests.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), Payroll, and Business HR teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.


Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency through Workday automation, dashboards, and integrations.
  • Maintain robust documentation for configurations, workflows, and data governance standards.
  • Stay ahead of Workday release updates, assess their business impact, and coordinate testing and rollout of new features.


Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with global and regional HR leadership to align Workday capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Present analytics, reports, and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including configuration, reporting, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data governance, and compliance.
  • Experience in Workday security management, business process design, and data loads.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed organization.

  • Strong experience in

    Workday Reports (Advanced/Matrix)

    and

    Calculated Fields

  • Excellent
