Workday HCM Integration & Report Developer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Workday HCM Integration & Report Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining integrations and reports within the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex integrations between Workday HCM and external systems using RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and other integration tools.
• Design scalable and secure solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards, including Service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices.
• Create and optimize custom reports within Workday, leveraging SQL, PL/SQL, and other query languages to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and implement solutions using Agile methodologies.
• Manage ETL processes for data migration, transformation, and synchronization across diverse systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Ensure system security through best practices in cloud security, system hardening, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
• Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins and Git for efficient development cycles.
• Maintain system health through monitoring load balancing, system hardening measures, firewall configurations, VPN setup, and network management including DNS and DHCP configurations.
• Support virtualization environments such as VMware ESXi and Azure/AWS cloud platforms for scalable deployment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to system design, debugging code in JavaScript, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, or other relevant languages.
• Document technical specifications and contribute to SDLC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Workday HCM integration development with a strong understanding of its API ecosystem including RESTful API and SOAP web services.
• Extensive knowledge of solution architecture principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, system design, and system architecture best practices.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, Ruby on Rails; scripting skills including Shell Scripting or Bash; and database management with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure along with virtualization tools such as VMware ESXi.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Windows/Linux), network protocols (DNS/DHCP), firewalls (Firewall configuration), VPNs (VPN setup), load balancing techniques, and system hardening strategies.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles including vulnerability assessment & management as well as threat intelligence analysis.
• Experience working within Agile environments utilizing GPO policies for system management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues efficiently while maintaining high standards of security compliance.
