We’re expanding our team in Jaipur and seeking a developer skilled in both WordPress and Shopify to elevate our marketing site and online store.

About the Role

You will build, optimize, and maintain high-performing WordPress and Shopify experiences. Working closely with design, growth, and merchandising, you’ll ship fast, secure, and scalable features that showcase Purewood’s brand and convert visitors into loyal customers.

What You’ll Do

·      Develop custom WordPress themes/plugins and Shopify themes/sections (Liquid, Online Store 2.0)

·      Implement Gutenberg custom blocks and ACF (or block-based workflows) for flexible content

·      Build responsive, accessible UI with HTML5, CSS/Sass, and modern JavaScript

·      Customize Shopify storefronts: Liquid templates, metafields, filters, cart/checkout (Shopify Plus a plus)

·      Integrate third-party tools: CRM/ESP, analytics, payments, subscriptions, search, loyalty

·      Optimize Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores; set up caching, CDNs, and image optimization

·      Configure technical SEO, schema, redirects, and analytics (GA4, GTM)

·      Manage environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD; coordinate releases and QA

·      Ensure security, backups, monitoring, and incident response

·      Support product/catalog management, promotions, and seasonal campaigns

·      Troubleshoot issues and document systems and processes

Required Qualifications

·      3+ years of professional experience with both WordPress and Shopify

·      Strong PHP (WordPress), Liquid (Shopify), MySQL, REST/GraphQL fundamentals

·      Theme development expertise (WordPress classic/block themes; Shopify OS 2.0)

·      Front-end proficiency: HTML5, CSS3/Sass, ES6+, accessibility (WCAG 2.1)

·      Proven performance tuning skills (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse)

·      Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and modern hosting (WP Engine/Kinsta/Pantheon; Shopify/Shopify Plus)

·      Familiarity with security best practices and dependency management

·      Excellent communication and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Nice to Have

·      Headless architectures: WPGraphQL/REST, Shopify Storefront API, Next.js/React

·      WooCommerce experience and Shopify app/theme customization

·      Payments/tax/internationalization (Shop Pay, Stripe, multicurrency)

·      Tooling: Vite/Webpack, TypeScript, Composer, npm/Yarn, Docker

·      Testing: PHPUnit, Playwright/Cypress

·      SEO/SEM tools: Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs; consent management (CMP)
