This role is for a seasoned HR leader who has stayed long enough to see their playbook work, break, and evolve in fast-growing tech or SaaS environments.About the company: A sharp, product-led AI SaaS startup backed by top-tier investors, building intelligent platforms that power decisions for global enterprises. The next phase of growth demands a future-ready people engine - that’s where the VP HR comes in: to design, scale, and humanise how the organisation attracts, grows, and retains high-calibre talent.

What will you own

1. People strategy & workforce design: Partner with founders to architect the 3-5 year org roadmap, translating GTM and product strategy into clear workforce and capability plans. Build a disciplined, data-backed workforce planning rhythm for India and global markets.2. AI-driven HR automation: Deploy and scale HR tech across the lifecycle (Keka for HRMS and hiring, pulse check-ins, PeoplePod-style engagement flows), turning HR into a live dashboard, not a rear-view mirror. Utilise analytics to predict hiring needs, identify attrition hotspots, and track performance trends.3. Employer branding & market positioning : Craft a bold, authentic employer brand that positions the company as a top AI SaaS destination for serious builders, not tourists. Lead initiatives that lift Glassdoor and review platform scores through real culture, not cosmetic campaigns.4. Employee experience & retention: Design signature employee journeys - from onboarding to growth to leadership - that make strong talent want to build a chapter, not a pit stop. Build retention strategies anchored in careers, learning, manager quality, and trust.5. Culture, performance & rewards: Shape a culture of clarity, ownership, and high performance with psychologically safe teams and sharp expectations. Implement outcome-focused performance, OKRs, and reward structures aligned with AI SaaS execution cycles.6. Talent acquisition & leadership hiring: Own senior and niche hiring across Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and GTM, optimising for quality and stability over volume.Set the bar for structured assessments, culture-add hiring, and long-term fit, not quick fixes.7. Global expansion & people operations: Lay down scalable people practices for new markets, balancing global consistency with local nuances. Ensure compliant, lean, tech-enabled HR operations that can handle rapid scale.

What you bring

MBA in HR and 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with meaningful multi-year stints in high-growth tech/SaaS or product environments.Proven capability in implementing HR automation and AI-driven HR tools (HRMS, ATS, pulse, engagement, performance).Building and executing employer branding that improves both talent pipelines and review platforms.Designing employee experience and retention strategies that reduce regrettable attrition.Leading Talent Acquisition and workforce planning across tech and non-tech.You think like a business leader, not just a function head: numbers, narratives, and people all matter equally.You are strategic and deeply hands-on, comfortable owning outcomes from end to end rather than managing from a distance.
