Role Overview
We’re entering an exciting new phase: scaling
video content from the ground up
across short-form and syndication platforms. As
Video Content Lead
, you’ll play a pivotal role in building our video strategy from scratch, identifying high-potential brands, and owning execution across platforms like
YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and MSN Video

What You'll Do
Creative Strategy & Storytelling
- Develop platform-first video concepts (hooks, scripts, formats) tailored for short-form and long-form content.
- Build repeatable content systems that scale—using templates, creative briefs, and storyboards.
- Provide actionable, high-quality feedback to editors and creators for creative improvement.
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows to boost speed and output quality.
Production & Editing
- Own end-to-end production workflows: scripting, shooting, editing, packaging, and publishing.
- Use industry-standard tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Descript, or Final Cut Pro.
- Ensure all content meets platform formatting requirements, from aspect ratios to metadata and captions.
Platform Execution
- Adapt content for multiple platforms: YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, MSN Video, TikTok, etc.
- Monitor performance and apply insights to improve hook rates, retention, and engagement.
- Stay on top of content trends and platform algorithm changes.
Team Leadership & Project Management
- Manage and mentor a small team of editors, creators, or interns.
- Use tools like Trello, Notion, or Google Sheets to manage deadlines, calendars, and video pipelines.
- Set up efficient systems for brainstorming, approvals, revisions, and publishing.
Analytics & Optimization
- Use tools like YouTube Studio, Meta Creator Studio, GA4, and MSN dashboard to track:
- Watch time, CTR, retention, engagement, and subscriber growth.
- Run A/B tests on thumbnails, titles, formats, and distribution strategies.
- Translate insights into actionable content improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with editorial, social media, SEO, design, and marketing teams.
- Ensure brand consistency across all creative output (voice, tone, visual identity).
- Manage stakeholder expectations and feedback loops.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- A strong portfolio of short-form and long-form video content—particularly on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or MSN Video.
- Proven ability to create and execute video strategy from scratch—not just optimize existing channels.
- Deep expertise with video production tools: Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Descript, etc.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., script generation, automated editing, captioning).
- A clear understanding of platform analytics and how to act on them (watch time, CTR, retention).
- Leadership experience—able to mentor creators and provide creative direction.
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Film, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Bonus Points For
- Experience at a fast-paced startup or digital media brand.
- Understanding of video syndication platforms like MSN Video or NewsBreak.
- Familiarity with content monetization models like ad revenue, RPM, etc.
- A passion for professional wrestling or pop culture (not mandatory, but a plus!).
