Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Technology/Site Leader to enhance, scale, and lead our India operations. This leader will serve as the most senior company representative in India, driving technology excellence, building high-performing product development teams, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with global counterparts.Reporting to the SVP Technology, and dotted line to the CTO, this highly visible role combines strategic site leadership with hands-on technology oversight. The Site Leader will have direct responsibility for engineering and technology teams in India, and dotted-line accountability for local Product Management, PMO, and Business Technology functions and broad site leadership accountability for other cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

Technology & Product Leadership

  • Lead and grow world-class engineering teams responsible for core product design, architecture, development, AI/ML, QA, release, and operations.
  • Partner with global product and engineering leaders to align India teams with product strategy and roadmap priorities.
  • Accountable for the execution of product and technology roadmap deliverables owned by the India site.
  • Oversee dotted-line relationships with Product Management, PMO, and Business Technology to ensure cohesive execution across disciplines.
  • Champion innovation, technical excellence, and the use of modern engineering practices (cloud-native design, microservices, DevOps, AI/ML, data-driven development).
  • Foster end-to-end product ownership from India, not just delivery execution.

Site Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the senior-most company leader in India, representing global vision, values, and culture.
  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy for the India site, in partnership with global leadership.
  • Position the India center as a strategic innovation hub within the global product organization.
  • Partner closely with corporate teams (HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities) to ensure smooth operations, while maintaining primary focus on technology growth and team health.
  • Engage as an active member of the CTO Leadership team to represent the India site in functional and strategic planning.

People & Culture

  • Build, scale, and mentor high-performing engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop leadership depth by coaching and developing engineering managers and technical leaders.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Promote inclusion and employee engagement, ensuring the India site reflects the company’s global culture and values.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Operate as a peer and partner to global functional leaders across Product, PMO, and Business Technology.
  • Facilitate clear communication, transparency, and collaboration between India and global teams.
  • Ensure India plays a central, integrated role in global product development and delivery.
  • Represent the India site in global leadership forums and strategic initiatives.
  • Actively seek additional cross-functional opportunities to maximize the value of the India site outside of Product and Technology functions.

What You’ll Need

  • 18+ years of experience in software product development, with at least 5–8 years in senior engineering leadership roles in India.
  • Proven success in building and scaling global R&D/product centers for a software product company.
  • Strong technical foundation (SaaS, cloud platforms, enterprise software, data, or AI/ML).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and operations.
  • Experience managing both direct and dotted-line teams in a matrixed global organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience working in or closely with US-based software product organizations strongly preferred.
