Job Description Manager, Software Engineering Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid 2 to 3 days in-office collaboration weekly) Why Lytx? What Youll Get To Do: Hire, mentor, and develop engineers capable of learning and rapidly delivering in a high-impact environment Lead performance reviews and provide structured feedback aligned with individual and organizational goals Design and execute performance improvement plans and coach team members toward measurable improvement Actively guide career development, including goal setting, learning paths, and succession planning Manage end-to-end talent lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, retention strategies, and regular engagement initiatives Perform hands-on tasks including systems design, code reviews, and incident management for production systems Partner with engineering managers and product teams to scale technical solutions while improving system reliability and developer velocity Contribute to and influence technical direction, architectural frameworks, and operational excellence Drive initiatives that enable your team to innovate, solve complex challenges, and deliver mission-critical software Cultivate a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and shared success Be part of a company where leadership means protecting people, enabling smarter decisions, and shaping the future of safety and telematics at scale What You’ll Need Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience Minimum 12 years of hands-on software development experience, with end-to-end system design and delivery exposure At least 4 years of experience in a technical leadership role, mentoring engineers and influencing system architecture 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, onboarding, performance appraisals, coaching, and driving career growth plans Strong experience in building scalable, cloud-native applications using C#, .NET, and AWS infrastructure Proficiency in microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Solid experience in modern front-end frameworks, preferably Angular Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes Strong understanding of engineering best practices, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and full software development lifecycle Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and time zones What We Offer Flexible Hybrid Work Model : Experience a hybrid work environment that balances in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility, enhancing productivity and work-life balance.
