  • Position Summary
  • The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and developing strategic customer accounts in both domestic and international markets. This role ensures profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnerships with OEMs and Tier-1/Tier-2 customers. The KAM will act as the primary interface between the company and its customers, driving sales, business development, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Customer Relationship Management
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned OEMs and Tier-1 customers in domestic and export markets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and performance discussions.
  • 2. Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
  • Drive acquisition projects, RFQs, and contract negotiations in alignment with company objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial offers, pricing strategies, and market analyses.
  • Achieve annual sales and profitability targets across domestic and export markets.
  • 3. Project & Account Management
  • Coordinate internally with engineering, quality, logistics, and program management teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Monitor project milestones, product launches, and supply chain performance.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to delivery, quality, or technical issues promptly.
  • 4. Market & Competitor Intelligence
  • Analyze global and domestic market trends, competitor activities, and pricing benchmarks.
  • Provide regular reports and strategic inputs to management for decision-making.
  • 5. Commercial & Contract Management
  • Negotiate terms of business agreements, pricing, and payment conditions with customers.
  • Manage commercial claims, cost recovery, and price adjustments as per market dynamics.
  • 6. Reporting & Forecasting
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, order intake projections, and account status updates.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).PMP will added advantage
  • 18+years of experience in key account management, preferably within an automotive Tier-1 supplier environment.
  • Strong understanding of OEM/Tier-1 procurement processes, automotive supply chain, and export business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets in both domestic and international markets.
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and other automotive quality standards is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP or other ERP knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
