Strategy & Transactions – Valuation & Modelling - Business Valuation - Consultant

Join our team of Strategy & Transactions professionals to help guide Deloitte client service teams through some of the critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team helps deliver integrated support covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, M&A, and sustainability. Work alongside teams every step of the way, helping them navigate new challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and support in providing practical insights at certain stages of their journey—before, during, and after any major transformational projects or transactions.

Position Summary

Level: Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:

The key job responsibilities will be to:

• • Support US project teams in providing financial consulting services relating to valuation of businesses, intangible assets, and corporate finance related services
  • Analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence experience
  • Have knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality valuation work products
  • Successful experience in overall engagement planning and job economics (e.g., deployment, budgeting, and billing/collections)
  • Interact with internal and external clients and communicate with Seniors and Managers in the United States
  • Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements
  • Effectively manage risk associated with engagements
  • Seeking guidance from teams, especially in cases where troubleshooting is required. Learn new methods and processes.
  • Assist internal clients on client development and practice development assignments
  • Assume responsibility for the quality control and accuracy of client deliverables through execution.
  • Involve and work on other Deloitte Consulting projects as required

The Team:

Our Business Valuation team provides a focused set of valuation consulting services to clients across a range of industry segments. Specific areas of focus include business and intangible asset valuation. Our wholly owned subsidiary employs professionals who work closely with our US professionals to respond quickly and efficiently to the complex and diverse needs of our clients. We perform valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock, and other securities along with partnership interests. These services are provided to assist clients with dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting in accordance with ‘US GAAP’ or ‘IFRS’ accounting standards; and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• 0-2 years of relevant Business Valuation experience

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• CFA Level II cleared or appeared
• FRM

Education:

• • MBA (Tier 1 and Tier 2 preferred)
  • CA (preferred)
