Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a US Accountant based in Ahmedabad. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing general ledger accounts, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with US accounting standards (GAAP). The Accountant will oversee payroll processes, handle tax filings, and provide support during audits. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data may also be required.

Qualifications

Proficiency in US GAAP, accounting software, and financial statement preparation
Strong skills in general ledger management, account reconciliation, and audit processes
Knowledge of US tax regulations, payroll accounting, and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools
Prior experience in a similar role in a US-based or international organization is a plus
