We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Transport Manager to oversee and optimize our daily transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in managing fleets, coordinating logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of drivers and support staff. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and manage the transport fleet to ensure efficient delivery of services. Monitor vehicle scheduling, routing, and tracking for timely operations. Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety standards, and licensing requirements. Oversee driver performance, safety training, and route planning. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular vehicle servicing and repairs. Maintain transportation budgets, monitor fuel usage, and control costs effectively. Manage documentation related to transport operations, including permits, insurance, and logbooks. Analyze transport data to improve service efficiency and resolve issues proactively. Liaise with clients and internal departments to manage delivery timelines and expectations. Prepare reports for senior management on fleet performance, incidents, and cost efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in transport/fleet management. Strong understanding of logistics, route planning, and fleet optimization. Knowledge of transport laws, permits, and compliance protocols. Proficient in using GPS tracking and transport management software. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with commercial vehicle operations (e.g., buses, tempo travellers, tourist vehicles). Experience with ERP/transport software systems. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
