Job Description

The Tender Executive is responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting tenders, bids, and proposals to secure new business opportunities. The role involves coordinating with internal departments, gathering relevant information, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and maintaining tender documentation. The Tender Executive plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate submission of tenders and bids. Opportunity Identification: Proactively monitor and identify relevant tender opportunities from government e-procurement platforms (like GeM in India) and private sector sources. Bid Preparation & Submission: Manage the entire bid lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final submission, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met. Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and compile comprehensive tender documentation, ensuring strict compliance with all client requirements, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies. Coordination & Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments, including sales, engineering, procurement, finance, and legal teams, to gather necessary information (e.g., product specifications, pricing, certifications) for accurate proposals. Analysis & Strategy: Analyze tender specifications, bills of materials (BOQ), and project requirements to develop a winning bid strategy and competitive pricing proposals. Negotiation & Client Relations: Participate in pre-bid meetings, address client queries, and assist in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions to finalize agreements. Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain an accurate database and records of all tender activities, submissions, outcomes, and client feedback for continuous improvement and reporting purposes. Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry-specific regulations within the stainless steel sector to inform future bid strategies. Skills Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in a tendering, bid management, or procurement role, preferably within the stainless steel or metals industry. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of stainless steel products, their applications, market dynamics, and common procurement processes (including government e-marketplaces). Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, persuasive proposals. Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines and working under pressure. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with tender management or e-procurement software. Negotiation: Effective negotiation skills to secure favorable terms.
