About this team:

This role is on a Digital Transactions and Identity team in the lululemon technology organization. lululemon Engineering is dedicated to building secure, reliable, and performant products for our guests and partners. As Technology Manager, you will work as part of a global team supported by our business, engineering and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemon’s business goals


A day in the life:

  • Lead and grow a team of skilled engineers, architects, and analysts through empathy and people-centric approach
  • Set the team's delivery roadmap and technical goals, working closely with technology leaders in North America and other partner teams.
  • Ensure team's deliverables meet the security, quality and engineering maturity standards set by enterprise architecture and engineering
  • Ensure that team is delivering as per the planned timelines by helping remove any blockers
  • Manage the resource and delivery plans for the team.
  • Ensure the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with coaching, skills development, and career path leadership
  • Being a role model and lead awareness and training for your team in our IDEA program - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action.


Key Responsibilities:

Technology Manager

Order Management & Microservices:

  • Oversee technology delivery and reliability for

    Sterling Order Management System (OMS)

    , ensuring seamless integration with retail ecosystems.
  • Design, develop, and manage

    microservices-based architectures

    to enable modular, scalable, and resilient order management capabilities.
  • Partner with product and business stakeholders in India and North America to align order orchestration with customer and supply chain needs.


SRE & DevOps Leadership:

  • Lead

    SRE and DevOps teams

    to ensure high availability, performance, and resiliency of mission-critical retail platforms.
  • Implement

    AI-driven monitoring, predictive scaling, anomaly detection, and automated incident response

    to improve operational efficiency.
  • Define and enforce

    CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and observability standards

    across platforms.


Cloud & Infrastructure:

  • Architect, deploy, and administer

    AWS infrastructure

    for secure, scalable, and high-availability solutions.
  • Drive

    cloud optimization

    for cost efficiency, performance, and compliance across multiple regions.
  • Establish disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for global retail operations.


Data Engineering & Analytics:

  • Build and optimize

    data engineering pipelines

    for ingestion, transformation, and storage of high-volume retail data.
  • Integrate

    AI and machine learning models

    into data workflows for intelligent insights, forecasting, and decision automation.
  • Partner with analytics and product teams to power personalization, demand planning, and operational intelligence.


Leadership & Governance:

  • Provide

    technical leadership

    to cross-functional teams in India, driving delivery in alignment with global North American retail strategies.
  • Manage and govern

    external vendors and service providers

    , ensuring accountability, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of

    innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement

    .


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12–14 years of IT experience

    with increasing responsibility in technology delivery, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure management.
  • Minimum 5+

    years of direct leadership experience

    , managing and scaling engineering teams.
  • Hands-on expertise with

    Sterling OMS

    ,

    microservices architecture

    , and

    AWS infrastructure

    .
  • Proven experience in

    DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, observability, and incident management

    .
  • Strong background in

    data engineering pipelines

    and integration with analytics/AI platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in

    managing external vendors and global service providers

    .
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills in

    cross-regional (India–North America) environments

    .
