Job Description

As a Technical Manager in the Retail Liabilities department of a Retail Banking business in Mumbai, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Monitoring and adhering to process, technical policy, and project approval policy. - Developing new policies and initiatives to lead region-specific innovations. - Implementing the Project Approval grid through Developer Categorization. - Suggesting process improvements and ensuring effective implementation. - Conducting spot checks at various locations to suggest region-specific amendments for increased business and risk mitigation. - Monitoring the technical evaluation process and managing vendors involved in the process. - Leading and nurturing your team, ensuring quality, partnering with the business, and maintaining portfolio quality. - Training and evaluating the proficiency levels of the team regularly, including cross-functional trainings. - Maintaining TAT targets for the technical evaluation process. In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also be responsible for: - Ensuring capability building and up-skilling of the team through adequate training to meet role requirements and handle market dynamics. - Delivering a best-in-class merchant onboarding experience. Key Success Metrics for this role will include: - Acquisition - Portfolio Quality Underwriting - Portfolio quality parameters Please note that the above role is based in Mumbai and requires a proactive approach to process management, team leadership, and vendor coordination.
