Job Description

Position Overview: Team Leader – Inside Sales

Team Leader – Inside Sales, will be responsible for driving conversions, building a high-performance sales culture, and managing a team of 8–10 Inside Sales Executives. This is a hands-on, target-driven role where primary objective is to lead from the front in terms of -> mentoring team, monitoring performance, and consistently exceeding enrolment targets.

The person is expected to roll up their sleeves, coach aggressively, manage the sales funnel with discipline, and ensure that every lead is followed up with urgency and impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the assigned team and ensure achievement through structured performance management.
  • Monitor lead flow, allocation, and conversion – ensuring zero leakage
  • Guide team on effective pitching, objection handling, and closure techniques coupled with CRM hygiene and data accuracy.
  • Conduct call audits, one-on-ones, role-plays etc to improve quality and conversion.
  • Identify underperformance early and take corrective action
  • Track performance dashboards closely, flag bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Instil a high-energy, positive, and competitive environment on the floor.
  • Work closely with marketing and admissions teams to ensure alignment on campaign performance and messaging.


Preferred Qualification

  • Experience: 4–7 years of hardcore inside sales experience with at least 1–2 years in a team handling role.
  • Sector: Experience in education, edtech, financial services, insurance, or BPO sales preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong command over consultative selling and funnel-based sales.
  • High energy, high ownership mindset.
  • Comfortable with data tracking and CRMs
  • Fluent in English and Hindi; regional languages a bonus.
  • Willing to stretch hours when needed—this isn’t a clock-in, clock-out job.

  • Team consistently hits 100%+ of monthly enrolment targets.
  • Low lead leakage, high follow-up discipline, and clean CRM practices.
  • Improved conversion ratios month-on-month through better coaching and call quality.
  • Strong sales culture—targets are chased, celebrated, and exceeded.
