- This senior and visible role will see you supporting, developing, and delivering supply chain solutions that enable our sourcing teams to give the bank a competitive advantage, improve the customer experience, and align with cost and risk appetite expectations
- You’ll manage the supply chain operations and support teams to enable them with accurate and timely delivery, and you’ll liaise with suppliers regarding the onboarding process
- You’ll enjoy considerable stakeholder engagement, supporting the sourcing teams with the sourcing process, working with suppliers to get the non-disclosure agreements signed, and maintaining relationships with the supply chain sourcing groups
- This role requires a flexible approach which will involve working in the evenings
- We are offering this role at director level
What you'll do
We’ll look to you to lead and deliver process efficiencies, improve the overall turnaround time, and support the team to deliver continuous improvements. You’ll support the sourcing teams to build the RFx with creation and ongoing management, management of the Q&A board, and the downloading and sharing of responses with the stakeholder base. You’ll also adopt a consistent approach in managing the supplier panels and you’ll identify the expired contracts and work with Supply Chain Management to update the records and help complete the renewals on time.In addition to this, you’ll:
- Validate the contracts master to see the expiry status of contracts and proactively engage with the sourcing teams to initiate the relevant actions proactively
- Lead and manage the e-Auctions where applicable and submit the outcome with the sourcing teams to take sourcing decisions
- Review the purchasing transactions that were not approved by supply chain or where the correct process was not followed and take necessary actions to remediate to keep the bank safe
- Create a high-performance and collaborative culture, continuously improving our processes, and ensuring consistent ways of working
- Manage the process maps, Standard Operating Procedure, and other documentation related to all processes
- Keep iSupply records up to date with the accurate information and drive regulatory compliance, managing risk actions, risk management, and audit support
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for a someone with a certification in, or strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma and a background in process simplification and standardisation. You’ll have experience in supply chain operations, general procurement, and sourcing and you’ll have knowledge of contract law and legal issues relevant to supply chain.You’ll have commodity and supply market knowledge across a variety of supply chain categories with a demonstrable track record of success in implementation. You’ll also have experience of applying supply chain skills and techniques to impact business strategy and outcomes, category management, contract negotiation and management, supplier selection, and management.Furthermore, you’ll demonstrate:
- At least eighteen years of relevant experince
- Flexibility to work in UK hours
- Knowledge or certification in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Proven experience in process simplification and standardisation
- Background in supply chain operations, general procurement and sourcing
- Experience in leading, developing, and supporting strategic or business critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements
- Experience in cost and financial management
