What you'll do
As a Supply Chain Support Lead, you’ll own and deliver process efficiencies, improve the overall turnaround time, and support the team to deliver continuous improvements. You’ll validate the contracts master to see the expiry status of contracts, and proactively engage with the sourcing teams, enabling them to initiate relevant actions proactively. You’ll also lead and manage the e-Auctions where applicable and submit the outcome with the sourcing teams to take sourcing decisions.As well as managing risks, you’ll manage the process maps, standard operating procedure, and other documentation related to all processes. You’ll manage you team, creating a high-performance culture to work in collaboration with other teams and you’ll work with suppliers on behalf of the sourcing teams to get the non-disclosure agreements signed ahead of the sourcing activity. You’ll also review the purchasing transactions that were not approved by supply chain or where the correct process was not followed and take necessary actions to remediate.As well as this, you’ll:
- Champion sustainability by supporting our Environmental, Social, and Governance approach
- Support the sourcing teams to create and manage the Q&A board and the downloading and sharing of responses with the stakeholder base
- Keep iSupply records up to date with the accurate information
- Identify the expired contracts and work with Supply Chain Management to update the records and help complete the renewals on time
- Deepen the relationships with the supply chain sourcing groups and effectively utilise the Data & Analytics reports for proactive review of the overall processes' effectiveness
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with at least 18 years’ experience, commodity and supply market knowledge across a variety of supply chain categories, and a demonstrable track record of success in implementation. You’ll have knowledge of contract law and legalities relevant to supply chain and you’ll have experience of the design and implementation of a variety of supply chain models such as offshoring, outsourcing, utility, and make versus buy. You’ll also be educated to a degree level, hold a Lean and Six Sigma certification and at least be working towards a Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations or equivalent.Furthermore, you’ll demonstrate:
- Experience of applying supply chain skills and techniques to impact business strategy and outcomes, category management, contract negotiation and management, and supplier selection and management
- A background in supply chain operations, general procurement, and sourcing
- Experience in leading, developing, and supporting strategic or business critical supplier relationships and contracts to deliver sustainable improvements
- Experience in cost and financial management, process standardisation and simplification, and continuous improvements
- A proven track record in taking ownership for resolving issues within supply chain services and across an organisation
