: Study Abroad Counselor (On-site – India)
About The Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced, target-driven Study Abroad Counselor to join an on-site team focused on end-to-end student advisory and visa processing. The role combines admissions counselling, visa documentation support, and relationship management with universities and testing agencies to help Indian students secure study placements and visas across key markets (UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and selected EU programs).Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one student consultations to assess academic profiles, career objectives and match students to appropriate programs and destinations.
- Manage the end-to-end visa application process: prepare and verify documents, complete application forms, and coordinate submissions with embassies/visa centres.
- Guide students on admission requirements—SOPs, LORs, CVs, financial proofs and test score planning—and review application materials for quality and compliance.
- Maintain and nurture leads using CRM; convert inquiries into submitted applications and track pipeline to meet monthly conversion targets.
- Stay current with country-specific immigration rules, scholarship opportunities, and testing requirements; proactively update counselling scripts and knowledge resources.
- Liaise with partner universities, placement teams and testing agencies; organise pre-departure briefings and post-offer support for enrolment and travel readiness.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 1–4 years’ experience in study-abroad counselling, visa processing or international admissions.
- Proven knowledge of visa documentation and procedures for major study destinations (UK, US, Australia, Canada, NZ).
- Strong communication skills—able to counsel parents and students, draft/review SOPs and communicate requirements clearly.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho/HubSpot/Salesforce) and experience working to targets/KPIs.
- Organised, detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
- Certification in international education or immigration counselling; prior experience with university partnerships or admissions teams.
- Experience advising on scholarships, financial documentation and post-study work/immigration pathways.
- Fluency in a regional language in addition to English (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali etc.) is an advantage.
