Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and highly-driven Store Manager to serve as the ultimate brand ambassador and operational leader for our high-end furniture and bespoke design showroom. This is not merely a retail management position, but a strategic role requiring a sophisticated blend of commercial acumen, design sensibility, and exceptional client relationship management. The Store Manager will be the driving force behind the store's P&L, curating an immersive client experience, and leading a team of elite design consultants to deliver tailored, aspirational home furnishing solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Visionary Leadership & P&L Management:
- Act as a mini-CEO, taking full ownership of the store's financial performance, including sales targets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to grow market share, cultivate new client segments (e.g., interior designers, architects, high-net-worth individuals), and achieve ambitious revenue goals.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to forecast demand and inform strategic decisions on pricing, promotions, and inventory.
- Implement a robust management system, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly reports are accurate and action-oriented.
2. Client Experience & Brand Stewardship:
- Elevate the in-store experience from a simple transaction to a curated journey of discovery and design.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with high-value clientele and key industry partners (designers, architects, developers) to secure project-based business and foster brand loyalty.
- Host and coordinate exclusive in-store events, workshops, and private viewings to engage the local community and reinforce our position as a leader in bespoke design.
- Champion a culture of "clienteling," where the team is empowered to provide personalized, post-sale service and maintain long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.
3. Team & Talent Mastery:
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of highly-skilled design consultants, nurturing their passion for design and equipping them with advanced sales and clienteling techniques.
- Lead from the front, setting the standard for professionalism, product knowledge, and client engagement.
- Implement a performance-driven culture through regular one-on-one coaching, constructive feedback, and transparent goal setting.
- Create a positive and inspiring work environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.
4. Merchandising & Showroom Curation:
- Collaborate with the corporate visual merchandising team to flawlessly execute seasonal floor sets and product launches.
- Maintain a pristine, inspiring, and engaging showroom environment that tells a cohesive brand story and showcases our product's quality and craftsmanship.
5. Operational Excellence:
- Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures related to sales, cash handling, security, and data protection.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, product innovations, and design technologies to maintain our competitive edge.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 8+ years
of progressive retail management experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within the luxury, bespoke, or high-end home furnishings sector.- A deep, authentic passion for interior design, architecture, and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Strong proficiency in CRM software, POS systems, and data analysis tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An Interior Design or related certification is a significant plus.
This is a hands-on role
that requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the needs of the business and our clientele.
