The Role

Store Keeper – Material Manager

What You’ll Do

Material & Inventory Management

• Manage complete inventory of materials, components, consumables, tools, and spare parts.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, perform daily cycle counts, and ensure zero-error inventory reconciliation.
• Create and maintain GRN, material issue notes, return notes, and material movement documentation.
• Manage the entire warehouse, material sorting, categorization, 5S maintenance, material storing as per suppliers, segregating rejection parts and arranging for their dispatch

Warehouse & Store Operations

• Oversee receiving, storage, binning, shelf organization, and issue of materials.
• Ensure proper labeling, FIFO/FEFO adherence, and safe handling of critical components.
• Maintain a clean, structured, and audit-ready warehouse environment.

Material Movement

• Planning & executing material movement initiated by inventory manager
• Stock transfer record keeping, regular audit of stock transfer with receiving warehouse
• Ensuring timely delivery of material as per given schedule

Supplier Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers for inbound deliveries, shortages, rejections, and material quality issues.
• Track pending deliveries and ensure timely follow-ups to avoid production delays.

Documentation & ERP Management

• Update inventory transactions, GRNs, issuance, and returns in ERP (SAP/Odoo).
• Generate stock reports, consumption reports, ageing reports, and audit reports.
• Ensuring proper documentation for inward and outward of material and check for variances by conducting stock verification

Quality & Compliance

• Tag and isolate rejected materials, ensuring proper documentation and communication to quality and engineering.
• Maintain compliance with safety, storage, and traceability norms.

Production & Engineering Support

• Ensure material availability for prototype builds, pilot runs, and regular production.
• Coordinate closely with engineering and assembly teams for specific material needs.

Risk Mitigation

• Monitor critical stockouts, delays, and material quality issues.
• Implement preventive measures for avoiding shortages or misplacements through system and process improvements.

What You Bring

• 4–6 years of experience in store management, warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory management in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of material flow, warehouse systems, documentation, and ERP tools (SAP/Odoo).
• Hands-on experience with GRN, binning, FIFO/FEFO, physical verification, and dispatch operations.
• Ability to manage a fast-moving store with high accuracy and strong discipline.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, quality, and suppliers for material-related activities.
• Strong understanding of safety, 5S, and warehousing best practices.
• Ability to relocate to Bengaluru or Pune as intercompany transfer manage warehouses
