Position Overview
Indigo Group is looking for a Stock Trading and Accounts Officer to manage stock trading operations and ensure proper financial record-keeping in line with SEBI regulations and Indian market standards. The ideal candidate should have strong financial acumen, be proficient in Indian stock market operations, and possess a good understanding of accounting practices and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Trading Activities:
- Execute equity and stock orders on the BSE/NSE, ensuring compliance with SEBI guidelines and company policies.
- Monitor Indian stock market trends, analyze data, and provide insights for trading decisions.
- Manage trading platforms, input trades, and reconcile transactions with clearinghouses like NSDL and CDSL.
- Ensure proper recording of all trades and maintain a detailed transaction history.
Account Management
- Oversee client account activities, including KYC, processing deposits/withdrawals, and maintaining account records.
- Reconcile daily stock trades and account transactions, addressing discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and distribute client account statements and handle inquiries regarding their portfolios.
- Manage documentation, including regulatory compliance with SEBI and other Indian financial authorities.
Compliance And Risk Management
- Ensure all trading activities comply with SEBI, RBI, and company regulations.
- Monitor and report any suspicious trading activities to the compliance team.
- Help develop risk management policies to safeguard against operational and financial risks.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly trading reports for SEBI and internal stakeholders.
- Support the finance team in the preparation of financial statements as per Indian GAAP standards.
- Assist in the audit process, providing necessary financial data and documentation for statutory audits.
Client Relationship Management
- Handle client queries regarding stock trades and account management with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Build and maintain client relationships to support seamless trading and account operations.
- Assist in onboarding new clients, explaining Indian stock market operations and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from a recognized Indian institution.
- Prior experience in Indian stock trading or brokerage operations.
- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations, Indian financial markets, and stock trading platforms (BSE, NSE).
- Proficiency in financial reporting and accounting principles (knowledge of Indian GAAP preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications like NISM, CFA, or CPA.
- Experience with Indian trading platforms and databases (Bloomberg, Reuters, MetaTrader).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, Oracle).

- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI tools like ChatGPT and design platforms like Canva.
