About the Role
The Staff Design Evaluation Engineer is a senior technical position working on complex and critical evaluation projects. This role involves leading complex technical problem resolution and acting as a technical resource. We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead firmware and embedded software development for our next-generation consumer audio products, including TWS earbuds, wireless headphones, Bluetooth speakers, and smart sound systems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in wireless audio, DSP integration, Bluetooth LE Audio, and low-power embedded design, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to mass production.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, simulation, and validation of RF front-end circuits for Bluetooth (Classic & LE) and Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) systems.

Define and optimize RF architecture for multi-protocol wireless connectivity solutions.

Design and characterize LNAs, PAs, filters, baluns, switches, PLLs, and matching networks.

Drive antenna design and integration for compact devices, including coexistence between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Own RF PCB layout best practices for high-frequency circuits and ensure compliance with signal integrity, grounding, and shielding requirements.

Perform system-level link budget analysis, sensitivity, EVM, ACPR, and throughput characterization.

Lead regulatory certification efforts (FCC, ETSI/CE, TELEC, etc.) and ensure compliance with Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance requirements.

Collaborate closely with digital baseband, firmware, and hardware teams to deliver fully optimized solutions.

Mentor junior RF engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.

Stay ahead of emerging standards in Bluetooth (LE Audio, direction finding, mesh, etc. ) and Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 7 and beyond)
Must Have Skills

Preferred Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or related field

8+ years of relevant experience embedded software/firmware development with direct experience in consumer audio products.

B.E, Master’s or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or related field).

10+ years of experience in RF design for wireless connectivity products (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or related technologies).

Strong expertise in RF simulation and design tools (Keysight ADS, Cadence AWR, HFSS, CST).

Hands-on experience with wireless test equipment: VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, OTA chambers.

Deep understanding of coexistence challenges between Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and mitigation techniques.

Proven track record of taking wireless products from concept to high-volume production.

Familiarity with low-power RF design for battery-operated devices.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
