Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Accountant
responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in compliance with
U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
. This role involves leading
month-end close activities
, preparing
journal entries
, performing
account reconciliations
, supporting
audits
, and driving
process improvements
to enhance efficiency and compliance across the finance function. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards (ASC updates).
Audit And Compliance
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and providing detailed explanations.
- Maintain and enhance internal control processes and documentation to ensure compliance with audit and corporate standards.
- Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings, financial audits, and management reporting.
Analysis And Process Improvement
- Analyze financial data and trends, identify variances, and prepare management reports to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Operations, Tax, HR, etc.) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects within the accounting department to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with U.S. GAAP compliance.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks Enterprise.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or currently pursuing certification.
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or multinational organizations.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
