Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Store Management

  • Maintain proper record of all inward & outward materials at site.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stacking of construction materials.
  • Physical verification of stock on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Maintain minimum inventory levels and track consumption as per project requirement.
  • Prevent wastage, pilferage, or damage to materials.

Documentation & System Updates

  • Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Issue Slips, and Stock Registers timely.
  • Update ERP/Excel reports for stock movement and requisitions.
  • Maintain vendor material delivery documentation – challan, invoice, e-way bill.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with Purchase Team for timely procurement of required materials.
  • Assist Site Engineers to ensure uninterrupted material supply at workfronts.
  • Communicate shortages/damages immediately to management.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure store area safety, cleanliness & proper material handling.
  • Conduct periodic audits and support internal/external audits.
  • Manage return of unused or rejected materials to suppliers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of construction materials (civil, finishing, electrical, plumbing).
  • Good understanding of BOQ, material reconciliation & consumption tracking.
  • MS Excel and store management software/ERP proficiency.
  • Strong communication, record keeping & vendor coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple material categories at site.

Qualification Required

  • Graduate / Diploma in Material Management or related field.
  • Certification in Inventory/Store Management will be an added advantage.

Reporting To

  • Project Manager / Purchase Manager
  • Coordination with Accounts & Engineering teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
