Job Description

The Society Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, maintenance, and smooth functioning of the co-housing society. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with legal and financial obligations, managing vendors, addressing residents’ concerns, and maintaining society infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain and update all society records and documents (ownership records, meeting minutes, contracts, etc.)
  • Schedule and coordinate society meetings (AGMs, SGMs), and prepare agendas and MOMs
  • Communicate important notices, circulars, and updates to residents

Staff and Vendor Management:

  • Supervise daily tasks of housekeeping, security, gardeners, electricians, and maintenance staff
  • Manage vendor contracts and monitor the quality of services (lift, CCTV, garbage disposal, etc.)
  • Recruit, train, and monitor new staff as required

Finance & Accounting:

  • Work with the accountant to ensure timely billing and collection of maintenance charges
  • Track outstanding dues and send reminders for non-payment
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, expense monitoring, and audit coordination

Facility & Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all common areas, amenities, and equipment
  • Ensure timely servicing of lifts, generators, water pumps, and other machinery
  • Monitor utility usage and address issues related to water supply, electricity, and drainage

Legal & Compliance:

  • Ensure the society complies with local municipal laws and housing society bye-laws
  • Handle RERA, registrar of societies, and legal documentation as needed
  • Maintain insurance for the society building and staff

Resident Engagement & Grievance Handling:

  • Address and resolve resident complaints and queries efficiently
  • Act as a bridge between the management committee and society members
  • Foster community participation in events, meetings, and decision-making

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in society management or property management
  • Graduate in any discipline; preference to candidates with facility management certification
  • Strong communication, coordination, and people management skills
  • Familiarity with housing society laws and maintenance software (e.g., MyGate, ApnaComplex, etc.)
  • Basic accounting and record-keeping knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Wakad, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Property maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
