Senior Power BI Developer
to design and deliver advanced business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in developing interactive dashboards, financial modeling, and ROI frameworks that support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to translate business requirements into impactful visualizations, and advanced knowledge of financial and sustainability metrics.
Note: Since it's a contractual position (for 30 days), we are looking for the immediate joiners only!
Key Responsibilities
- Dashboard Development
- Build investment-focused dashboards showcasing ROI projections (3–5 years), payback periods, NPV, and IRR calculations.
- Implement sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling with dynamic parameters and sliders.
- Develop ESG-focused dashboards highlighting CO2 reduction, energy savings, and compliance metrics.
- Financial & Business Modeling
- Integrate CAPEX/OPEX data into interactive simulators for conservative, realistic, and optimistic investment scenarios.
- Build calculators and comparative models to assess baseline vs. target KPIs.
- Benchmark against industry standards and comparable sites.
- Data Modeling & Architecture
- Design robust data models to support financial, operational, and ESG metrics.
- Define calculation methodologies and document technical architecture.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices in BI design.
- Stakeholder Enablement
- Produce clear documentation, including user guides and training materials.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to enable business users to navigate and update dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, sustainability, operations) to refine requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development (DAX, Power Query, Dataflows, Paginated Reports).
- Strong background in financial modeling (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback analysis).
- Proficiency in building scenario-based simulations and parameterized dashboards.
- Solid knowledge of data modeling (Star schema, Snowflake, normalization/denormalization).
- SQL proficiency for querying and optimizing data sources.
- Business & Domain Knowledge
- Experience working with CAPEX/OPEX frameworks and cost modeling.
- Familiarity with KPI design, benchmarking, and sensitivity analysis.
- Exposure to ESG and sustainability reporting is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial services, consulting, or investment decision-support dashboards.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical/financial modeling.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) for BI deployments.
