You’ll be leading multiple software engineering teams internally and externally to design and develop complex software architecture for our VBG Digital Sales platform. The work you'll be doing is to support mission-critical applications within Verizon which is hosted in the Verizon.com website for the access by the Customers in Internet. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building a world class solutions. Under the mentorship of a Assoc. Director who would be supporting you on delivery, you will lead the team members on various projects and mentor each team members/resources. Your work will help us to stay at the forefront of technology and positively impact the customer experience. Leading a development team of high performing individuals. Performing the Performance management, Motivate and elevate the team's results. Guiding and coaching the team catering to individual career aspirations and setting measurable goals for them. understanding the big picture and connect the dots for the team members creatively. Grooming the team members on their growth path & ensuring the constant learning and knowledge growth in the team Leading employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment. Performing risk analysis, impact analysis and deviation, if any and address gaps if any to ensure delivery of quality code. Defining & implementing process improvements and empowering the team to reach higher goals Working with distributed development teams globally and maintain a traceability matrix. Delegating responsibilities and decisions to help empower people and teams. Working closely with external teams to define release content and ensure growth of the platform to meet competitive demands. Leading and mentoring engineering web and application programming interface teams through software platform releases, ensuring products are on spec, architecturally sound, and delivered on time. Supporting customers with major platform issues and coordinating triage efforts to solve them. Documenting and maintaining architectural guidance to ensure performance and scalability of the platform. Adhering to industry standards and best practices and understanding emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve the systems, application, infrastructure, and processes. You’ll Need To Have Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies. Experience of Full Stack Java (e.g., ReactJS, AEM, Java script, Spring Boot, databases (Oracle, SQL Server) SQL. Experience in leading and engaging a team, mentoring others, and recruiting talent. Good understanding of Telecom Technologies/products. Knowledge across Wireline and wireless technologies like FiOS, Mobility, 4G LTE, 5G. Even better if you have one or more of the following: A Master’s degree. Led a big team. Strong understanding of database architecture and programming. Experience with service-oriented architecture and messaging platforms. Java development experience. Hands on Experience in AEM content management Knowledge in DevSecOps and Data mining Experience in driving any org wide initiative Ability to foresee the work in pipeline and optimize resource utilization effectively. Ability to build SME knowledge in the team and set goals to the individual which will effectively utilize their individual skills.
