Job Description

Number of Vacancies: 1. Experience in the South Market. Budget: As per Experience No. of Years: 8- 10 years. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Planning & Development: Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive products to inform product decisions. Collaborate with design teams to create diamond jewellery collections that align with brand vision and consumer demand. Develop product briefs and oversee product development, ensuring designs are in line with market needs and production capabilities. Ensure that the product range reflects current trends in diamond jewellery and aligns with sales targets. Sales & Margin Optimization: Work with sales and marketing teams to launch new collections, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and market demands. Analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed decisions on pricing, margins, and promotions. Propose strategies to maximize profitability, including product assortment, pricing strategies, and discount management. Market & Consumer Insights: Conduct regular market research to identify trends in diamond jewellery, consumer preferences, and competitive products. Analyze customer feedback and sales data to inform product revisions and future collections. Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and events to stay updated on industry trends and innovation. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the production department to ensure designs are feasible and production timelines are met. Collaborate with marketing teams to plan product launches, promotions, and campaigns. Support the sales team by providing product training and ensuring they have the necessary tools to sell effectively. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to end-of-life, including the introduction of new collections, managing existing lines, and phasing out slow-moving stock. Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, business, or a related field; specialization in jewellery design or gemology is a plus. Experience: 9+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the jewellery industry, with a focus on diamond jewellery. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diamonds, precious stones, metals, and jewellery manufacturing processes. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to make informed decisions. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with design, sales, and production teams, as well as client Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and deadlines. Software Proficiency: Experience with merchandising and inventory management software; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
