Required Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Required Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulation , plant technology, equipment and layout
  • Knowledge of Plant CMMS , spare part specifications, quality assurance required , job execution modes and maintenance and production interaction .
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedure and standard practices.
  • Analytical skills & presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD and MS Project .
  • Knowledge of job planning procedure ,equipment specification and safety regulation
  • ERP System .Good technical abilities

  • The ability to work well under pressure

1 – MISSION

  • Main purpose:

  • To define the methodology, the manpower, the spares and other resources necessary to achieve efficient and safe maintenance in linewith technical standards .
  • To improve reliability & equipment life.
  • Effective planning of maintenance activities in line to Lafarge Maintenance Philosophy
  • Contribution:

  • Preparation of work methodology. Ensures spare parts availability , tools and consumable availability .
  • Costing and optimisation of maintenance budget.
  • Long-term goals:

    Maintenance reduction and maintenance cost reduction by improvement in effective planning.

  • to the activities of department and instructions defined by the hierarchy


2 - PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

a) Major results and/or performance levels :

Quantitative:

  • Reduction in number and duration of stoppages.
  • Actual cost verses budgeted cost .
  • Number of accidents during job execution .
  • Maintainability reduction & maintenance cost reduction.


Qualitative

  • Relevance of work preparation : no time slippage, no unforeseen operation
  • Detail safety instruction in the methodology.
  • All consumables , tool and spares available in time .
  • Availability and clarity of up to date technical documentation .
  • Relevance & user friendliness of SOP’s .


b) Indicators for measuring the effectiveness of the job holder:

  • Identify the skills required for each maintenance jobs .
  • Create the preparation document (general and specific documents )
  • Estimate the spare parts needed
  • Establish quantify maintenance programme ( Cost and time )
  • Operate CMMS maintenance Programme
  • Define Methods of job optimisation .
  • Complete conversant with OEM recommendation of maintenance, time study of job/activity, skill level require for job activity, spares/consumable required and methodology of carrying out the activity.
  • Cross-functional knowledge of equipment and process.
  • Clarity in communication of analysis and presentation of planning.
  • Should be able to train & guide subordinates.
  • Should be capable reverse engineering of OEM spares.


c) Main objective of the position:

Effective maintenance planning leading to reduce unplanned stoppage, improve reliability, improve availability of equipment for production line and assure enhanced working life of machinery.

4 – RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To define the detail methodology for carrying out all the jobs according to priorities & the required resources, skill , co-ordination and supervision .
  • Ensure all the necessary material are available for the planned operation & meet the required quantity and quality.
  • Prepare time and cost estimates for work orders and jobs to optimise resources utilisation .
  • Formalise and update following:
  • SOP’s for critical operation
  • Re-launching of non-executed work.
  • The record and statics
  • Technical documentation.
  • To Co-ordinate with Following departments:
  • Production dept. to define equipment stoppage condition ( purged, cooled, etc. ) and ensure safety during operation)
  • Inspection dept to take into account inspection results
  • Maintenance execution to validate the methodology .
  • health and safety Co-ordinator to define standards & Procedure .
  • Ware house to confirm spares and copnsumable availability , Purchasing to order the missing spares .
  • Maintenance execution and Inspection to check the spares on receipt .
  • Purchasing to identify alternative supplier and validate sale terms and warranty .
  • Maintenance scheduling to confirm or adjust job phasing.
  • Purchasing, Maintenance Scheduling and Execution to identify the need for contracting.
  • Maintenance management for validation, decision, review of backlog of work.
  • Maintenance inspection to validate document relevance.
  • TC Maintenance expert and suppliers for methodology of major repairs and overhauls.
  • TC Maintenance expert and suppliers for new technical and economical solution.
  • BU Industrial Department or TC Maintenance expert for assistance if needed ( in case of complex operation )
  • Other plants and TC to benefit from other experience and optimise Sop’s
  • Suppliers for continuous improvement.

  • Planning for new/ less exposure of maintenance personnel.
  • Plant located in remote area.
