Required Qualifications and Experiences

• Required Education: Diploma/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical maintenance operations
• Knowledge of structure, crusher, vibrator, conveyor and gearbox etc.
• Knowledge of hot works, fitting, assembling, lubrication, equipment inspection, process control & troubleshooting.
• Local Safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge of quality management methods (ISO 9002)
• Knowledge of aggregates crushing process is desirable.
• Ownership of personal safety & safety of subordinates
• Should possess good communication skills.
• Should be able to train & guide subordinates.
• The ability to work well under pressure

Main ResponsibilitiesIssues

1. Challenge of working with people who has a very little awareness on safety due to lack of heavy industrial culture.

2. Challenge of working in a place where there is a little scope to meet the emergency for spares, service etc. due to location.

3. Challenge of working along with junior and other functional colleagues.

Management:

• Responsible for Adherence to safety policy, rules and PPE in the field level.
• Responsible for co-ordination and/or performing all plant operations, despatch, loading & maintenance activity in his responsibility area.
• In – depth knowledge of operations and maintenance of all process equipment used in cement & aggregates industry, maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools and computer based maintenance management systems Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the relevant equipment.
• Experience of root cause analysis and maintenance budget preparation.
• Respond to emergency, breakdown, plan/schedule maintenance needs.
• Ensure the quality of maintenance jobs.
• Ensure quality of production and dispatch.
• To monitor the condition of machinery, taking preventive action to avoid stoppages/break downs.
• Monitor job duration, cost and performance of staff.
• Recommends improvements for reliability increase and cost reduction
• Monitor and controls overtime.
• Responsible for scheduled inspection of machinery, equipment, tools and tackles (including safety tools and tackles) and ensuring that these are in optimal condition of safe use.
• Responsible for reporting plant operations, process/equipment inspection, and loading/dispatch and daily shift wise job activities.
• Work with the planning, packing and logistics departments effectively.
• Ensure proper upkeep of departmental manuals, documents, log sheets etc.
• Ensure proper use of P.P.E by subordinates & self & abide by safety procedures.
• Responsible for training & guiding subordinates.
• Apart from computerized maintenance schedules observes day to condition of machinery by feel and touch methods also.
• Responsible for giving feedback to departmental reporting channel.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, considering the environmental implications of the work.
