Job Overview:

We are looking for a senior credit controller who will be managing the companys credit and collections processes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely payments from clients while maintaining a healthy cash flow. This role requires a proactive approach to credit assessment, effective communication, and strong negotiation skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Credit Assessment & Approval

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
• Review consumer credit reports and approve or decline credit applications.
• Set and monitor credit limits and payment terms.

Debt Collection & Recovery

• Follow up on overdue invoices and outstanding payments.
• Negotiate repayment plans and loan terms with clients.
• Implement company collections procedures and escalate issues when necessary.
• Initiate legal proceedings for non-payment, if required.

Account Management

• Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and payment histories.
• Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Must haves-

• 3+ Years of experience into Credit control/collections process with bank reconciliation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in financial software.
• Ability to analyze financial data and reports.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes is preferred.
