Ip Billing Executive

Paras Hospital is hiring IP Billing Executive for Gurgaon location.

Job Purpose

To ensure accurate and timely inpatient (IP) billing, coordination with clinical departments, TPAs, and insurance companies, enabling smooth patient discharge and optimal revenue realization.

Key Responsibilities

Inpatient Billing Operations

• Prepare and finalize inpatient bills based on approved tariff, package, and hospital policies.
  
• Ensure accurate capture of all chargeable services including room rent, procedures, consumables, investigations, pharmacy, and implants.
  
• Verify daily charges posted in HIS for correctness and completeness.
  

TPA & Insurance Coordination

• Coordinate with TPA/insurance desk for cashless and reimbursement cases.
  
• Share provisional and final bills with TPA/insurance companies within defined TAT.
  
• Address queries, discrepancies, and deductions raised by TPAs/insurers.
  

Discharge Billing

• Ensure bills are ready on time to avoid discharge delays.
  
• Coordinate with nursing stations, OT, pharmacy, and diagnostics for pending charges.
  
• Explain billing details to patients / attendants in a clear and courteous manner.
  

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure billing compliance with NABH, internal audit, and statutory requirements.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and medico-legal requirements.
  
• Adhere to package inclusions/exclusions and approval matrices.
  

System & MIS

• Update billing details accurately in Hospital Information System (HIS).
  
• Generate billing MIS reports as required by management.
  
• Support finance team in month-end closing and reconciliation.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

• Graduate in Commerce / Management / any discipline.
  

Experience

• 1 to 4 years of experience in IP Billing in a hospital environment.
  
• Experience handling TPA / insurance cases is mandatory.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of hospital billing processes and packages.
  
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and TPA workflows.
  
• Proficiency in HIS and MS Excel.
  
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• Good communication and patient-handling skills.
  

Working Conditions

• Hospital environment with rotational shifts.
  
• 6 days working as per hospital policy.
