Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition & Business Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients across industries (IT).
  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, market research, and industry events.
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Pitch recruitment services (permanent staffing, contract staffing, RPO, executive search) to prospective clients.

2. Relationship Management

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers in client organizations (HR /Talent acquisitions heads, hiring managers, vendor management heads ,procurement heads).
  • Understand client hiring needs, culture, and pain points to offer tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

3. Proposal & Negotiation

  • Prepare and present proposals, commercials, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals in alignment with company policies.
  • Ensure smooth handover of signed accounts to the delivery team with clear requirement briefs.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on recruitment industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management for service enhancements and competitive positioning.

5. Reporting & MIS

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and activity reports in CRM.
  • Provide weekly/monthly business development updates to leadership.

Key KPIs / Metrics

  • New client acquisition count.
  • Revenue generated from new accounts.
  • Conversion ratio from leads to deals.
  • Client retention & repeat business percentage.
  • Average deal size.

Requirements

  • Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA in Marketing or HR preferred).
  • 8-15 years of experience in

    business development within recruitment/staffing.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong network and understanding

    of hiring trends in the Indian market

    .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
