Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of the sales cycle. They should be confident with building new client relationship and maintaining existing ones. They should have evidence of strong skills and possess good negotiation skills. 


KRAs for a AWS Cloud Platform:


  • Build relationships with prospective clients
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing clients
  • Manage sales pipeline
  • Analyze market and establish competitive advantages
  • Track metrics to ensure targets are hit
  • Achieve AWS cloud revenue targets (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Drive pipeline growth for AWS services through direct sales or channel partners.
  • Forecast, track, and report on sales metrics and customer engagements.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for AWS services.
  • Engage with CXOs, IT Heads, and business stakeholders to pitch AWS cloud adoption.
  • Convert on-premises workloads or competitors’ cloud users to AWS.
  • Understand customer requirements and map them to AWS services.
  • Work with Solution Architects to build cloud migration or modernization proposals.
  • Present use cases like cost optimization, security, scalability, and DR on AWS.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key enterprise, SMB, or startup customers.
  • Conduct periodic business reviews to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Support customer onboarding, ensuring smooth transition to AWS.
  • Build and manage relationships with AWS Partner Network (APN) members (MSPs).
  • Collaborate with AWS Partner Managers and Solution Architects for joint go-to-market efforts.
  • Engage in co-selling activities with AWS field teams.
  • Track AWS competitor landscape (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Analyse market trends and vertical-specific cloud adoption patterns.
  • Suggest new offerings or bundled services based on customer demand.
  • Own RFP/RFI responses related to AWS solutions.
  • Coordinate with pre-sales and delivery teams to prepare winning proposals.
  • Ensure pricing, licensing, and AWS program benefits are optimized.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene (e.g., Salesforce) and ensure deal tracking is accurate.
  • Report to leadership on funnel movement, conversion rates, and bottlenecks.
  • Ensure deals adhere to AWS and customer compliance/security guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree 5 to 7 years in sales industry (AWS & SAP)
  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing Demonstrated sales success
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • AWS experience is preferred
