Title : Sr Automotive Customer Quality Engineer Reports to: Quality Manager Experience - Minimum 8Y Customer Centricity is the key priority at TVS Electronics and Quality is a mandatory pre-requisite to be met. At TVS Electronics Tumkuru facility , we are looking for Senior Customer Quality Engineer who will have ownership in securing Product quality impacting customer needs. Senior Customer Quality Engineer develops, plans, directs, monitors, and drives continuous improvement and corrective action activities related to product and process development at TVS Electronics What You Will Do · Lead Pro-active Quality for Automotive Projects · Work with Customers to understand the quality requirements and ensure customer specific requirements are implemented at TVS Electronics · Plan and Deliver the Quality Assurance Plan mainly focusing on Quality Screening, FMEA, Control Plan DFA and Risk Analysis. · Lead in Quality issue solving activities like issue definition, RCA, Verification and Validation.· Knowledge capture, Spread, maintain and re-use through efficient tools · Participate in cross functional discussions to secure Product quality · Lead product quality log and secure data driven decision making Who are you? · Tier 1 Automotive Electronics product knowledge, PCBA Quality requirements are mandatory · Proficient in Automotive APQP process and PPAP submissions · Proficient in Business Analytics : dealing with data, data visualisation and story-telling Qualification Summary: · Bachelor degree in Engineering · 8+ years of working experience in Quality areas connected to Tier 1 Automotive supplier or EMS company supplying to Automotive customers · Quality related work experience (Six Sigma, FMEA, 3L5W, 5W2H, Ishikawa, Pareto, 5 Whys, Histogram, etc.)· Experience in working in projects and project management · Good knowledge about Electronics manufacturing process (EMS). · Key competencies : Communication, Customer Success, Results oriented, Managing Ambiguity, Networking Qualifications/Requirements · Attend meetings or on-site reviews at customer site supporting TVS Electronics product and process development systems and customer requirements. · Build a working relationship of integrity and trust with customers maintaining clear lines of communication to TVS Electronics, engineering, and purchasing functions. · Keep organized and updated open issues lists of non-resolved or potential problems based on product and process reviews and audits. · Lead and monitor root cause analysis of product or process failures through SPC or other data analysis methods. · Evaluate and approve gauge designs and dimensional schemes for product and process control. Evaluation includes Gauge R&R to AIAG requirements. · Write clear and detailed reports for management review. · Perform on-site quality system audits to correct non-conformances.· Review, evaluate, and identify process variation or poor manufacturing concepts and /or execution for corrective action . Implement required action or containment. · Create and maintain all required documents per TVS Electronics quality management system. Education · Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, related field or equivalent experience. · IATF 16949:2016 Lead Auditor, Automotive Core Tools · Preferred: Lean / Six Sigma certified Skills and Abilities · Analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives and recommend optimal solutions for various situations. · Well-developed active listening and negotiation skills. · Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence. · Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the company. · Ability to develop/coordinate cross-functional workgroups and projects.· Broad understanding of Tier 1 / EMS automotive manufacturing processes, practices, and challenges. · Ability to apply project planning, implementation, and/or continuous improvement principles to affect tangible, positive outcomes (typically acquired through several years of experience in these areas) · Competent in multi-tasking (i.e. the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, issues, or projects that may include high visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork, and planning). · Proficiency in the following software applications: Microsoft Office, sufficient to apply and /or support the application with minimal instruction or guidance. · Ability to work in a team and/or matrixes structure, supporting multiple clients. · Ability to conduct effective/efficient meetings and manage the meeting process with optimal results.
