Role Overview:

Retail Buyer

Key Responsibilities:

Assortment Planning:

·      Develop and execute a comprehensive assortment plan that aligns with the brand's vision and target audience.

·      Continuously monitor sales performance and customer preferences to optimize future assortments.

·      Work closely with the design team to translate market trends and customer insights into well-curated product offerings.

Option Planning:

·      Identify key product categories and subcategories to meet customer demands and preferences.

·      Determine the optimal number of styles and variants within each category to ensure a diverse and attractive product selection.

Colour Trend Analysis:

·      Stay abreast of current and upcoming colour trends relevant to the kids wear market.

·      Apply colour forecasting insights to guide the development of colour palettes for each collection.

Market and Competitor Research:

·      Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences.

·      Utilize research findings to drive data-informed decisions in assortment planning and product development.

Qualifications:

•   Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or related field.

•   Proven experience as a Retail Buyer within the kids wear or fashion industry.

•   Strong understanding of kids wear market trends, colour forecasting, and customer preferences.

•   Demonstrated experience in assortment planning, option planning, and size set analysis.

•   Proficiency in utilizing data and analytics to make informed buying decisions.

•   Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

•   Passion for fashion and children's clothing, with a keen eye for design and style.
