Site Merchandiser

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and creative Website Merchandiser

online presentation of our kidswear collections. In this role, you’ll be responsible for showcasing

the right products, at the right time, in the right way — ensuring our digital storefront is both

functional and fun to shop. You’ll combine data insights with a strong sense of visual storytelling

to drive sales, improve conversion rates, and elevate the customer journey.


Key Responsibilities:

Website Experience & Optimization

Enhance navigation, product discovery, and filtering to help busy parents find what they need quickly.

Conduct A/B testing to continuously improve page layouts, banners, and call-to-actions.

Collaborate with UX/design teams to ensure a smooth and visually appealing shopping experience across devices.


Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with buying, marketing, content, and creative teams to align product launches and promotional messaging.

Support seasonal campaigns, launches, and sales events with tailored merchandising strategies.


Sales & Customer Insights

Analyse product and category performance to identify best-sellers, slow movers, and emerging trends.

Use customer behaviour data to guide merchandising decisions and promotions.

Recommend changes to improve key site metrics such as conversion rate and average order value.


Performance Monitoring

Track and report on e-commerce KPIs: conversion, bounce rate, cart abandonment, etc.

Present insights and suggestions for ongoing improvement of the site and customer experience.

Content & Brand Storytelling

Ensure all content reflects the Somersault voice — cheerful, modern, and parent-friendly.

Help develop product stories that connect emotionally with caregivers while highlighting function and quality.


Product & Category Management

Ensure accurate and timely upload of new kidswear collections to the website.

Maintain organized and well-merchandised product categories that reflect current trends, seasons, and inventory.

Optimize product titles, descriptions, and images to align with Somersault’s playful yet informative tone.

What You'll Need:

2–4 years of experience in e-commerce or online merchandising, ideally in fashion, lifestyle, or kidswear.

Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and CMS systems.

A blend of analytical thinking and creative flair — able to interpret data and craft engaging online experiences.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Passion for children’s fashion and a good eye for what resonates with modern parents.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Nice to Have:

Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize).

Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.

Familiarity with visual merchandising principles in retail or fashion.
