Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist is a critical role within our finance department, responsible for overseeing the billing operations of the company. This role ensures the accurate and timely generation of invoices, management of payment processes, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing

    : Prepare, review, and send out accurate invoices to customers on a timely basis.
  • Payment Processing

    : Handle the receipt and posting of customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Account Reconciliation

    : Reconcile billing accounts and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Customer Communication

    : Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and billing issues promptly and professionally.
  • Accounts Receivable

    : Assist in generating customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Process customer payments, reconcile customer accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and update the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Reporting

    : Generate and analyze billing reports to ensure accurate financial reporting and identify any irregularities.
  • Compliance

    : Ensure all billing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Accounting:

    Preparing Balance Sheet, Finalizing Books of Accounts
  • Audit:

    Able to

    Handle Statutory Audits & Internal Audit
  • Coordination

    : Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless billing processes.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors in Finance and Accounting, MBA/PGDM
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in a billing, accounting or finance role.
  • Worked in a SAAS company before.
  • Extensive experience

    ZOHO

    for billing and accounting purposes. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
